Our Mission Partners
The church supports a number of missionary organisations working in London, and around the UK and around the world.
Transform Europe Network (TEN) provides support to a network of evangelical churches and ministries in the Balkans and Eastern Europe to see the gospel shared and lives transformed. They do this by helping partners demonstrate the love of Christ through ministries of compassion, support them as they engage in evangelism and assisting partners to plant new churches in localities without an evangelical witness.
The vision of Wycliffe Bible Translators is a world where everyone can know Jesus through the Bible. To achieve this they are working to see the Bible translated into every language in the world. Currently, 1.5 billion people still can’t read the Bible in their own language, so Wycliffe work with communities around the world pioneering and training local people in Bible translation work.
Bernhard and Maria are with “Go and Make Disciples” based in London. Their work includes ministering to unreached people groups inviting them with love and respect to follow Jesus. They also offer counselling, mentoring, coaching and spiritual direction, primarily to Christian workers and volunteers.
Webber Street Homeless Day Centre
A place of refuge where London City Mission and local churches offer life-giving care to people who are experiencing homelessness. Webber Street is a supportive place of calm and refuge which offers a cooked breakfast and hot drinks; access to showers, clean clothes and toiletries; and referrals, assistance with filling in forms and accessing help. Jenn Garibay is a London City Missionary involved with this work who says ‘My job is helping churches who want to support, welcome, and care for London’s homeless and marginalized. Sometimes Christians don’t feel confident to speak about Jesus, particularly with people who are very different to them. Our vision is to see churches lovingly and confidently share the good news of Jesus with those around them! We’ll never fully solve the problem of “houselessness”, but homelessness is more than not having a house, it’s not being part of a loving and caring community. My hope is to see many of our homeless friends become loved, discipled, and thriving members of church families. The first step is making sure that churches are equipped to welcome and love those who are experiencing homelessness.’
International Justice Mission (IJM) is a global organization partnering with local justice systems to end violence against people living in poverty. Their model is to:
# Rescue and Restore Victims – They find enslaved people, bring them to safety and walk alongside them until they are restored.
# Bring Criminals to Justice – They relentlessly pursue justice in court. They ensure that traffickers, rapists and other criminals go to jail so they cannot abuse, exploit or enslave others.
# Strengthen Justice Systems – They provide training, mentoring and support to police, judges and other community leaders to slow down and stop the cycle of violence.
